Rickety Rampage: The fanbase that brought down McDonald's

Wubba lubba dub dub Rick and Morty fans!

As you may or may not know McDonald's released the Szechuan sauce that we've all been waiting for... but there was a hitch in their plan, they didn't release enough sauce. The following post is an account of what happened because of this miscalculation, prepare to be amazed and amused.

In the first episode of season 3, Rick declares it his life's mission to get the sauce that was released in 1998 as part of the promotion for Diney's Mulan. On the 7th of October, Rick and Morty fans made their way to Mcdonalds to go try out this Szechuan sauce that Rick was raving about. The problem was that Mcdonalds didn't deliver enough sauce, with some McDonalds having only 20 packets for hundreds of customers demanding the sauce. Oooooo weeeee looks like they dropped the ball on this one.

This is an account of what happened from a redditor:

"Dude . . . McD's fucked this UP.
First off, no one knows how much they ever actually had, but the most I heard was 150 packets. There were at least 2,000 people there.
THEN, instead of serving people as they got in, they started giving out raffle tickets, so the people who had been there for like 12+ hours got PISSED. Like the guy who was first in line (over 24 hours) didn't get anything.
So a couple of dudes literally jumped the counter, grabbed a bunch of sauces and bolted.
Cops showed up and shut down the whole store . . .
Police chopper with crowd dispersing noise speakers, the manager on the bullhorn in tears, begging people, "please there's just no more sauce! Your safety is too important!"
Fuck man . . . Nerds Roll hard, Bro!"

Police in Wellington McDonalds where many angry people lined up for hours for the sauce only to learn they had none.

A single packet of Szechuan sauce was going for $300, thats how limited they were. This chick even managed to buy a car for one single packet of the sauce.

Finally here is the most amusing thing. This fan literally has a tantrum in McDonalds shouting about the sauce and how he's pickle rick!

After thousands of people took to Twitter to complain about the lack of Szechuan sauce, McDonalds says it'll bring back the sauce for later this year, in the right quantity and for a longer duration.

Good job McDonalds

Squanch you next time Squanchers!
